Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that will give your skin a brighter, smoother, and more youthful complexion. It is effective treatment for minor acne scarring, large pores, fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation including stretch marks, sun damage, and dark spots.
It’s impossible to say how long Microneedling will last on each individual as it depends on two factors: the degree of your skin concern and how long new collagen lasts in your skin. However, results are expected to last anywhere from three months to five months.
Some results such as skin tightening should be almost immediately, while others may take 4 – 6 weeks to show optimal results. Most patients will begin to notice a difference in their skin in just one week. Patients normally have 2 treatments per year to maintain the results.
With Microneedling you typically need to book treatments every 4 – 6 weeks to get your desired results. This may be different for each skin concern as some may require more treatments to get the desired results, we will be able to discuss how many sessions you need in better detail at the consultation.

Microneedling requires no downtime, however you may experience some redness and irritation after treatment which usually fade within 48 hours. We would advise to apply sunscreen for the first two weeks. As part of our treatments, we offer further aftercare advice at the appointment.
