Microneedling gives your skin a brighter, smoother and more youthful complexion. Microneedling is minimally invasive treatment which requires no downtime. It’s considered safe for most people who are in overall good health. You may experience some redness and irritation after treatment. Microneedling is considered effective in treating minor acne scarring, dark spots or patches on your skin also known as hyperpigmentation, large pores, stretch marks, sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles. Here at Bare Brilliance we only use the top of line serums for this treatment.

Microneedling is a process in which tiny needles are used to puncture the skin, stimulating collagen production and the turnover of fresh new skin cells. We apply a microneedling pen or roller to the skin, which stimulates the body’s healing abilities, meaning that this special treatment is all about getting your skin’s natural healing process to work its magic. Microneedling (also called dermarolling and collagen induction therapy) is a minimally invasive treatment that will give your skin a brighter, smoother, and more youthful complexion. It is an effective treatment for minor acne scarring, large pores, fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation including stretch marks, sun damage, and dark spots.
It’s impossible to say how long microneedling will last on each individual, as it depends on two factors: the degree of your skin concern and how long new collagen lasts in your skin. However, microneedling benefits are expected to last anywhere from three to five months. Ideally, you will receive a series of treatments, several weeks apart, for the best and longest lasting results.
Some results, such as skin tightening, should be apparent almost immediately, while others may take four to six weeks to show optimal results. Most patients will begin to notice a difference in their skin in just one week. Patients normally have two treatments per year to maintain results. Bare Brilliance Aesthetics uses top-of-the-line serums when you book a microneedling appointment with us, which are able to penetrate the skin far more effectively than if they were applied without the microneedling procedure. This allows the products to produce even better results, and you will be able to see brighter, healthier skin after microneedling.
With microneedling, you typically need to book treatments every four to six weeks to get your desired results. This may be different for each skin concern, as some may require more treatments. We will be able to discuss how many sessions you need in better detail at your consultation.
Microneedling is a quick procedure that takes on average around 30-60 minutes to complete. Your comfort is our top concern, so we make the procedure as quick and simple as possible. It is a virtually painless treatment, as well as a minimally invasive one, so after a quick session where we do everything we can to make you feel as relaxed as possible, you will be good to go!
Microneedling requires no downtime – however, you may experience some redness and irritation after treatment, which usually fades within 48 hours. We advise you to apply sunscreen for the first two weeks. It is also important that hair and clothing does not touch the treated area. We also suggest you make sure to use a clean pillowcase and towel after the procedure. As part of our treatments, we offer aftercare advice at the appointment.
Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure, and is considered to be exceptionally safe for most people who are in overall good health. The needles only penetrate the skin to a safe depth, so there is no permanent damage done to the skin. Your safety and comfort are our top priority here at Bare Brilliance Aesthetics.
